In late January, Les Agisim and Dr. Steven Mandel of the New York Metro Region volunteered for DOROT by delivering food packages to the Jewish elderly of NYC.

• You drop off a food package, call and/or visit a Jewish elderly person.

• It makes you feel good, and they feel good that they are not forgotten.

• When we went in to pick up the packages, the women at the desk asked me if I was Phil Agisim’s son.

• When I explained he had just passed on, she started raving about what a great person he was.

As I say, “you give a little and get a lot more back.”
