1st Annual Tri-Regional Club Leadership Institute

We will be conducting a three Region Club Leadership Institute (RCLI) with clubs from the Northern New Jersey (NNJR), Hudson Valley (HVR) and Metro NYC (MNYR) at:
Fair Lawn Jewish Center/Congregation B’nai Israel
10-10 Norma Avenue, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410.
The objective of the RCLI is to gather like-minded leaders from FJMC clubs across our three regions to share best practices for growing and developing our men’s clubs. The theme for this year is “Programming and Promotion”.

Programming: What Could Possibly Go Wrong? A good program is key to building participation and engagement with your Men’s Club. What about a bad program? In this session we share our worst programming gaffs, either real mistakes we’ve learned from or those imagined that keep us up at night. |

Don’t Reinvent the (Programming) Wheel Clubs often find themselves ‘reinventing the wheel’ when a long-time Program Chair passes the torch to a new Program Chair. We will discuss techniques like using checklists & playbooks to share knowledge on how to execute programs, and using chairs and co-chairs to build continuity and innovation into club programs. And, speaking of passing the torch, we will explore how the best programs across FJMC are documented for Torch Awards, and how clubs can leverage the Torch Award Database to adopt proven programs. |
