ZACHARY KONIGSBERG

Zachary Konigsberg is Cantor and Spiritual Leader of Temple Sholom of Flatbush in Brooklyn, New York. He previously held the same position at the Jewish Center of the Moriches in Suffolk County, New York. He has performed at many area Synagogues in various capacities over the past 25 years.

Zachary comes from a family of rabbis and cantors including his father, Cantor Joshua Konigsberg, and his grandfather, Cantor Jacob Konigsberg. These two cantors were his mentors, teaching and inspiring him to be the cantor and religious leader he is today. Zachary is passionate about Judaism and aims to encourage others to become more involved and engaged with Jewish life and to be active in the Synagogue. Zachary is married to Phyllis Sussman, the Judaic Studies Coordinator at the Hannah Senesh School, and they are the proud parents of three children: Abigail 15, Leia, 13 and Eliezer 8.
