ANTISEMITISM PROGRAM

by Milton Lipitz, 3rd Vice President, New York Metro Region

The New York Metropolitan Region of the FJMC has set up an Antisemitism Committee consisting of eight members.

The responsibilities of these members are clearly stated in our Mission Statement.

“To WORK WITH LOCAL MEN’S CLUBS TO DEVELOP MEANINGFUL, PRACTICAL PROGRAMS THAT CONFRONT ANTISEMITISM AND STRENGTHEN JEWISH COMMUNITY LIFE”

The committee has put together a suggested document of programs and activities (see below) that could be used by our Men’s Clubs. Synagogues may use one or more of these suggestions or may decide on other programs that may be successful for their Synagogues.

We have worked to assign a limited number of Men’s Clubs to each committee member as well as to indicate additional responsibilities of committee members concerning several of the programs listed in our document.

We will continually share results of these programs with our Men’s Clubs Presidents so that we can hopefully make a difference concerning this important initiative.
