Matt Kogan is honored and humbled to have been recognized by his peers as Midway Jewish Center Men’s Club’s 2021 Man of the Year.

Matt has been on the Board of Midway’s Men’s Club since 2017, serving as President for the past 2 years.  What could have been a dark and dormant time for Midway’s Men’s Club turned out to be vibrant and active—albeit different—due to the strong support, enthusiasm, and creativity of its members.  Matt is proud of these amazing men and the support received from Rabbi Rafi Rank, Rabbi Joel Levenson, Executive Director Genea Moore and the synagogue’s Board of Directors.

The entire Kogan family is involved in Midway—Matt’s wife, Renee, on the Executive Board and his two daughters, Eliana and Jadyn active in the Religious School.

Jewish traditions and learning are a strong part of the Kogan family and Midway and its Men’s Club are an important support for us in that venture.

Congratulations to Maya Rezak and Seth Schlank, both of whom exemplify the warmth, joy and tradition that Midway often sees from its youth.
