Sophie Eisenberg is a senior at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School and will be attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science in the fall.
Sophie is a Co-Chair of the Park Avenue Synagogue Food Pantry and a founding member of the Teens Combating Antisemitism Task Force. A lifelong member of Park Avenue Synagogue, Sophie began in the Purple Room as a preschooler and continued through PAS Hebrew School for the next 8 years, celebrating her Bat Mitzvah in May 2020. Two summers ago, Sophie traveled to Israel, deepening her connection to her heritage and gaining a greater understanding of Jewish history and culture. She is deeply committed to making a positive impact both within and beyond the Jewish community.
Outside of Park Avenue Synagogue, Sophie is passionate about empowering Women in STEM. She leads various STEM or leadership related clubs and mentors middle school girls in math. She also plays varsity and club soccer and volunteers to teach children with disabilities the sport. Additionally, she conducts research in computer science brain-computer interfaces and hopes to continue exploring this field at UPenn.

Judy Weintraub is a senior at Hunter College High School, where she is a dedicated student and passionate advocate for her community. Her commitment to service and leadership has shaped her high school experience, allowing her to make a meaningful impact both inside and outside the classroom.
Judy’s connection to Park Avenue Synagogue began in elementary school when she started attending Hebrew School classes. Over the years, her involvement in the community deepened, and she now serves as a co-chair of the Park Avenue Synagogue Food Pantry. In this role, she helps organize, pack, and distribute canned and dried goods to New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity. Through her work, she has developed a deep understanding of the challenges surrounding food access in urban communities.
Beyond her synagogue community, Judy is an active member of her school. She is the president of Hunter’s chapter of Girls Who Code, where she encourages girls to explore computer science and develop technical skills in a supportive environment. She is also a tutor at the Hunter Writing Center, where she helps fellow students refine their essays, strengthen their arguments, and develop confidence in their writing.
In addition to her academic and extracurricular commitments, Judy enjoys spending her free time reading and baking. Whether she is leading a coding workshop, tutoring a peer, or organizing food donations, Judy is dedicated to learning, service, and making a difference in the communities she is a part of.

Gabriella Zwiebel is a senior at The Bronx High School of Science. Starting in the Fall, she will be attending Cornell University.
Gabriella has been a member of Park Avenue Synagogue beginning in her preschool years, continuing to Congregational School, and now she is one of the Co-Chairs of the Park Avenue Synagogue Food Pantry. As Co-Chair, Gabriella leads teens in packaging and distributing shelf stable food to food insecure New Yorkers.
In addition to being an active member of Park Avenue Synagogue, Gabriella is involved in her school’s community. As a member of the National Honor Society, Gabriella tutors her peers, participates in service projects such as school open house events, and helps the school community in ways such as guiding recycling. She is also a part of the Big Sib program, where she guides first-year students through their adjustment to high school and teaches lessons on time management, course selection, and establishing community.
Gabriella’s passion for food insecurity extends beyond the Park Avenue Synagogue Food Pantry as she participates in The Bronx High School of Science’s Regeneron Research Program. Gabriella has performed extensive analysis and gathered data for her study on food insecurity, where she has learned about the physical and mental impact of food insecurity.
In addition to her participation in the Park Avenue Synagogue and Bronx Science communities, Gabriella participates in the New York Botanical Garden’s High School Explainer Program, where she shares her interest in conservation and the environment with visiting families.
Gabriella enjoys baking, ceramics, and reading in her free time.
